We have had a lot of questions regarding more pairs hopping to online. Yes you heard correctly that there is still more to come!
Production is not always so straight forward in fashion and unexpected things happen constantly. For us this has been the challenge for the past 15 years. Also the pandemic has slowed down the pace for each component manufacturer here in Europe. Unfortunately we were not able to get all the shoes in one go as planned.
But the good news is that end of this week/beginning of next week we will add the missing sneakers to our online. They will be the same styles and colours that were part of the original launch on Monday.
Some part of our order missed this production slot completely and we are expecting them beginning/mid March. These styles are; Raquel silver glitter, Raquel red patent, Jodie pink glitter, Jodie black nappa and Bugs black nappa.
We will keep you posted once we know more and hope that there will not be further delays. Our original plan was to close the online store end of March/beginning of April and we are sticking to that.
Our online shop ships to all the EU countries as well as to the EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). Unfortunately, our online shop will no longer shop outside of these countries after December 20, 2020.

The Minna Parikka online shop will close according to the previous announcement on the 20th of December at 11:59 PM., but reopens temporarily as the final batch of Minna Parikka shoes will be available for order on the 8th of February 2021 at 9 AM.
The online shop closes permanently after this restock and the returns of it have been sold – at the latest by the end of March/beginning of April.
SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES FINLAND
SOS Children’s Villages Finland wants to be at the fore front of promoting services that enhance the wellbeing of children, aged 7 through 12. They provide a low threshold service for children to ask for help in situations where they feel unsafe or threatened. Generally the contact requests relate to themes such as feeling anxious, bullying and difficulties with friends or parents’ welfare.
The number of contact requests has gravely increased, reaching a weekly basis – hence we are donating 5€ from every pair sold directly to support SOS Children’s Village Finland’s work with APUU -chat service.
“I wanted to donate part of the sales profits to ease children’s distress locally, here in Finland. The past year has been a struggle for many and children suffer deeply when there are adults around them feeling unwell” – Minna
Child welfare professionals at the SOS Children’s villages are handling the chat services with the help of well trained volunteers. If necessary, the children are referred to child protection in their own municipality.
The closing of Minna Parikka Shoes' business operations
The decision is entirely personal, not due to financial factors or the corona virus.

No – the ongoing year has been excellent for the brand. The company is viable and has been completely debt-free and for 10 years. The brand has responded to changes in the global fashion world and consumption trends: in 2018, retailers were excluded, which reflected in turnover, but Minna Parikka’s own e-commerce increased by 40% in 2019. In 2020, the online shop’s cumulative growth rate is now 60%, and in total sales compared to the previous year have grown by 21% albeit the Minna Parikka flagship store closing in July.
The decision to end the brand is strictly personal.

Minna is now going to take a creative break to reflect that new things can arise. Minna is open and ready for new adventures. The anniversary year seemed a logical time for Minna to end the brand: the ongoing year has been a celebration to the end, as befits the brand. Minna has been considering the decision for a long time. There have been discussions with different parties about different models of cooperation, but they have not seemed appropriate. Closing a business as such seemed to be the best option, although the decision was not an easy one. This was the best option for Minna personally.
Online shop's customer service will handle order issues such as refunds normally also in January.
Online shop customer service will operate with normal service hours until the 18th of December.
From the 21st of December, customer service will have new service hours: customer service is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 AM–2 PM. On Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday customer service will be closed, as well as on Bank Holidays: the 24th–25th of December, and the 1st and 6th of January. Customer service is open until the 16th of April, 2021.

Each pair is carefully crafted and finished off by hand from high-quality materials in two factories in Spain. Minna Parikka partners with family-run shoemakers in the Alicante region, where superb craftsmanship is passed on from one generation to the next. These skillful artisans create magic through years of experience. Our partnerships are loyal and honest, supported by certificates of production and quality.
The upper material is mainly cow leather, but we also use textile and textile-based glitter material, as well as vegan material. The lining of our products is always leather, except in vegan shoes. Regarding leather shoes, we find it extremely important to source our raw materials that are by-products of food production.
Our sizes are European sizes. You can find our size chart from the product page. The measurement shown in centimeters corresponds the inner length of the shoe. Exact measurements may vary between the styles, so please check the size recommendation from product details. Any minor imperfections, slight nuances, and variations in color are typical characteristics that identify the leather product as natural. This is a delicate article so we recommend avoiding contact with water and grease. To maintain the best appearance of your shoes, remember to protect your new purchase with protector cream or spray. There may be a slight release of color on contact with other, light-colored, items of clothing or details. The product should be stored in its original packaging or dustbag away from light, heat and radical temperature changes.
Unfortunately we were not able to include dustbags for this last batch of shoes. We have been moving swiftly to get the production running on a tight schedule and we made the decision that it is more important to get the shoes on time than wait for the dustbags.
Leather-soled shoes will eventually need to be re-soled, depending on the conditions in which you wear them. You can also treat the soles to make them water-resistant by using a waterproofing agent for leather soles. We strongly recommend you to consult a professional in leather care or a shoe mender for specific care advice.
Nappa leather must be treated with good quality waterproofing protector spray before use. Treat the leather with nourishing and moisturizing care product to keep it soft and shiny. Any marks or dirt can be removed by polishing the affected area with a soft cloth and good quality shoe cleaner lotion.
Delicate suede leather should be well protected with waterproofing protection spray. Nourish and protect suede leather with color intensifying care products. With suede brush or sponge, it’s easy to remove any dust or dirt.
Take special care of patent leather to avoid scratching the surface of your shiny shoes. Treat patent leather only with products that are designed for patent leather, to keep the surface elastic and glossy. Store the shoes individually in dustbag and away from dark color releasing materials.
Cow hair, also known as pony hair, must be treated with good quality waterproofing protector spray before use. The protective coating makes it easier to remove any dust or dirt from the surface and it will make your shoes look like new for longer.
To keep your glitter shoes sparkling, we do not recommend to use any shoe care products for this textile based synthetic material. To avoid any scratches or natural loss of glitter, please store the shoes individually in a dust bag. We do not recommend using glitter shoes in very wet weather.
Textile must be treated with protection spray before use. The protective coating makes it easier to remove any dust or dirt from the surface and it will make your shoes look like new for longer.
We do not recommend to use any protectors on the pompom fur-details. If your shoes get caught in rain, let the fur dry and after it is dry, gently brush it to fluff the fur.

Large order volumes can cause technical failures in the online store, which can lead to products being sold over balances. If this has happened to your order, you will be contacted by email and the order will be cancelled and credited to you using the same payment method you used while making the order.

Exchange / Return
You have fourteen (14) days from the date you received your order to make a return. Products purchased via our online store cannot be exchanged directly: please order a new product and return the original. Exchange and return terms may vary between different countries.
